Linux 3.0 with New Numbering Kernel System

Linux 3.0 was released by Linux founder "Linus Torvalds" through google +. In Linux 3.0 there are some differences compared to previous versions.

First, the numbering kernel system is the core of the open source operating system GNU / Linux. Earlier using three numbers.

Torvalds said the replacement of kernel number will not be a problem. "The bottom line numbering 3.0 only re-course, we did not do a KDE or Gnome-4-3 anything here," said Torvalds.

But others see the re-numbering the kernel numbers may give problems.

Torvalds says it is not a problem. "As I've mentioned several times, there are no special features associated with the version number changes," wrote Torvalds. Criticism is a way to drop Linux.

Linux 3.0 did the addition of backend storage for the Xen Hypervisor, renewal Btrfs file system, and an increase in drivers for a variety of graphics processors and peripherals.

"Lovelock" Fedora 15 Released "Download Available"..

The Fedora Project  released 15 with codename "Lovelock" was made available for download yesterday. Fedora releases are always awaited with significant anticipation, and this one has been no exception. The biggest news about this release, is that they have changed to a Gnome 3 desktop. As far as I am aware, they are the first "major" distribution to use Gnome 3 as their default desktop. Because of that, and the obvious comparisons to Ubuntu's recent release of their Unity desktop, this will be the primary focus.

The distribution is available from the Fedora Downloads web page. You can copy the ISO image to a USB stick by using their LiveUSB Creator utility, or you can simply "dd" the image to the USB device. Boot the Live image, and you are ready to install. Installation is fast and fairly simple.

Nexus One Is A Winner !!

Linus Torvalds, leader of the Linux kernel programming project, said Saturday not only that he likes the Google phone, but that it was good enough to convert him into a mobile phone believer.

"I generally hate phones--they are irritating and disturb you as you work or read or whatever--and a cell phone to me is just an opportunity to be irritated wherever you are," Torvalds said in a blog post. "But I have to admit, the Nexus One is a winner."
