HTC officially announced HTC Merge, the first Froyo based-CDMA mobile, which will be taken by some operators in the US.

After some time ago images of the HTC revealed, it is the time now for HTC to officially announce HTC Merge, this handset is the first CDMA-based Android phones in the world. Through a press release today, the Taiwanese handset manufacturer announced this Sliding qwerty handset.

Previously had reported that HTC will launch the Merge was doubtful, but Taiwanese manufacturer is apparently not to launch the attack despite substantially delayed. The phone became available in the middle of next year through CDMA's operators in North America.

This phone has a 800x480 pixel touchscree ndisplay 3.8inci, equipped with a sliding qwerty keyboard, a 5 megapixel autofocus camera with 720p resolution video camera, supports 3G global oaming, GPS, Wifi, and Bluetooth.

Unfortunately, still not known how much the price charged to get this phone and also still has not revealed a more detailed specification. However, there is the possibility of Verizon and Spint on a waiting list for its release.
