Blackberry Playbook will soon be released in 16 additional countries within the next 30 days

A rather encouraging news for BlackBerry fans have now been present. Scheduled launch of the BlackBerry Playbook, has now been clearly established. RIM-made BlackBerry Playbook was confirmed to be present in 16 additional countries,including 5 countries in the Asia Pacific within the next 30 days.

So, for fans of the BlackBerry, especially in those countries prepared to welcome the arrival. There are five States which is the premiere country that gets this tablet in the Asia Pacific region, including Indonesia, Singapore, India, Australia, and HongKong. The other countries are  the countries located in Continental Europe, such as:

  • UK
  • Netherlands
  • Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • Venezuela
  • Spain
  • Germany
  • UAE
  • Mexico
  • France
  • Italy
  • Colombia
According to the Manager of RIM for the Asia Pacific region, Gregory Wade, Asia Pacific, particularly Southeast Asia represents a huge market and many are attracted to the gadgetsespecially multimedia tablet (perhaps this is why some countries also called BB Nation). It is expected that the BlackBerry Playbook will no longer be circulating on the black market in the region.

BlackBerry Playbook will officially compete with other tablets that have been officially present as well, such as Samsung Galaxy Tab, Acer IconiaHuawei Ideos S7, HTC Flyer, or IPAD 2 which still has not officially signed. Looks like the option to select the tablet will be more difficult.

BlackBerry Playbook sold 2X More than Motorola Xoom

RIM has officially announced the BlackBerry Playbook on April 19, 2011. For information, RIM released the Playbook with 3 different models according to the size of its memory, 16GB, 32Gb and 64GB. Of the three models, the 64GB version is the most widely sold 84% of the model is already sold, followed by the 32GB version with 71%, and 14% of the 16GB model has been sold. The 16GB model is a version of the least likely because it has sold at least as well as the memory is a problem in the software that makes RIM had to pull back 1,000 units Playbook 16GB some time ago.

Meanwhile, in the period of the month's Playbook has sold as many as 250,000 units. The amount is equal to the sale of Motorola Xoom for 2 months since its launch on 24 February last. Yes, Motorola CEO Sanjay Cha on April 28, then claims to have sold 250,000 units Xoom. This means RIM is doing their work 2x better than Motorola in selling their first tablet.

Despite having a less good early reviews, it seems not discourage prospective buyers to choose Playbook tablet than other tablets. Unfortunately it did not happen to Xoom that seems difficult to attract potential buyers. This is according to analysts because the Motorola too soon release a tablet based Honeycomb when the OS is still unstable and a lot of bugs. Not to mention the sudden crash problems that still exist in the Honeycomb. Still, Google has released an update 3.1 for increased performance and capabilities Honeycomb that hopefully can make the OS more stable.

IFixit been dissected BlackBerry Playbook

Just a few days launched in the US, and Canadian markets, Blackberry Playbook has been dissected further. There is a team from iFixit, which was already well known team in the shuffle through the latest gadgets, which first is dissected the RIM-made tablet to review more in particularly on the inside of the hardware.

According to iFit, there is cost expensive and difficult to change their devices/ damaged partsFor example: the front camera, rear camera, and the control over all installed in one board assemblies, so that when the power button is damaged or defective volume button should be replaced in its entirety.

In addition, also reported that RIM chose to use a magnesium frame around the glass LCD screen which increases durability (more resilient). The LCD screen is not directly attached to the glass so it can be replaced easily when one of them damaged.

In addition, there are many still images that can be seen to know the 16 steps to disassemble of the BlackBerry Playbook along with whatever tools are needed. So just visit the official website.
